Adelle M. Pierce is owner and President of AM Pierce & Associates, Incorporated, a Woman Owned Small Business that provides engineering, IT and program management services to the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security and other Federal Agencies. Ms. Pierce has over 15 years of progressively responsible professional experience in the management and oversight of large, multifaceted organizations and is adept at building highly effective teams.
Previously, Ms. Pierce served as Co-Chairman of ARINC Engineering Services, LLC and the Vice President of the Defense Systems Engineering & Support business unit. As Co-Chairman of ARINC Engineering Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of ARINC, Inc. Ms. Pierce managed the operations of ARINC's classified and unclassified work in support of the Department of Defense.
Ms. Pierce organized and planned the business unit’s activities to achieve annual sales, profit, and technical goals and to promote long-range stability and growth. Under her leadership, the business unit generated over $300M Revenue in 2006 and employed over 1000 highly skilled engineers and analysts in 16 regional offices throughout the United States.
Ms. Pierce has provided management oversight and technical support to many significant DoD programs including GPS, C-5 AMP, F/A-18, JPALS, V-22, C-130 and C-141 modification programs. She has experience in Acquisition Management, Program Management, Test & Evaluation and Human Factors Engineering.
Ms. Pierce has a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from University of Maryland and completed the ARINC University Executive Development Program and Director Action Group (DAG) Program conducted with the University of Maryland Smith School Of Business.
Additionally, Ms. Pierce is actively involved in community service and business organizations. She served on the Board of Directors of the Professional Services Council, the Contract Services Association and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Homeland Security Task Force. She is Past President of the Rotary Club, St. Mary’s Lexington Park and the Rotary Club, South Anne Arundel County. She has served on the Board of Directors for the Southern Maryland Navy Alliance and the Patuxent Partnership. She is a charter member and served on the coordinating council of ARINC Women in Leadership (AWIL). She is a charter member of the Chesapeake Chapter of NDIA’s Women in Defense.
